CLA [C117] (2013-2019)
The Mercedes-Benz CLA-Class C117, produced from 2013 to 2019, was the first-generation CLA and marked Mercedes-Benz’s entry into the compact four-door coupé segment. Based on the MFA (Modular Front Architecture) platform shared with the A-Class (W176), the C117 was styled to echo the design language of larger coupé models like the CLS, but in a more compact and affordable form.
Early models (up to September 2014) were equipped with the NTG 4.5 infotainment system, which included a 5.8-inch or optional 7-inch display, Bluetooth, USB/AUX, and support for Garmin Map Pilot navigation on higher trims. From October 2014, the CLA received the updated NTG 5.0 system, which brought faster processing, improved menu structure, a more refined user interface, and better smartphone integration. Optional upgrades included COMAND Online with hard-drive navigation, DAB digital radio, and premium audio systems such as Harman Kardon Logic7.
