SL-Class [R230] (2002-2011)
The Mercedes-Benz SL-Class R230 was produced from 2001 to 2011, serving as the fifth generation of the SL roadster. It introduced a sleek new design and the innovative Vario-Roof — a fully automatic retractable hardtop, turning the SL from coupe to convertible at the press of a button. The R230 underwent two major facelifts, one in 2006 and one in 2008.
The head unit and dashboard layout changed in 2004 on the Mercedes-Benz R230 SL-Class, and while it wasn't officially classified by Mercedes as a full facelift, it was a significant interior update, especially in terms of electronics and infotainment.
