The Prius NHW11 (sometimes referred to as "Generation II") was the first Prius sold by Toyota outside of Japan. Production of the NHW11 model commenced in May 2000 at the Motomachi plant in Toyota, Aichi, and continued until June 2003 after 33,411 NHW11 vehicles had been produced.
