C30

The Volvo C30 is a three-door premium compact hatchback manufactured and marketed by Volvo Cars from 2006 to 2013. The C30 is a variant of the Volvo S40/V50/C70 range, sharing the same Ford C1/Volvo P1 platform.

The Volvo C30 from 2006-2012 had 3 different sound systems:

Performance Sound (none amplified)
This was fitted as the standard sound system for these models and is the most common. Although it had a couple of variations during its lifespan, it typically consisted of a 6 or 8 speaker set up without an amplifier.

High Performance Sound
When the powering up it will show 'HIGH PERFORMANCE SOUND' on the radio display. This was fitted both as an optional audio upgrade, or as standard on higher spec Volvos. It incorporates a separate amplifier.

Dynaudio or Dolby Pro Logic II
When the powering up it will show ‘PREMIUM SOUND' on the radio display. These sound systems were fitted as optional upgrades and incorporate a separate amplifier and uprated factory speakers. Logos on the speakers will help identify whether a Dynaudio or Dolby system.
