These vehicle‑specific modules let you retain your car’s original steering wheel controls when fitting an aftermarket head unit. By translating the commands from your factory buttons, they ensure your new stereo responds just like the original — so you can adjust volume, skip tracks, or take calls without losing the convenience of your OEM controls.
The Audio Tech Direct SWC Interface is designed specifically for BMW and MINI vehicles without factory parking sensors and equipped with the MOST (Media Oriented Systems Transport) fibre optic system. This interface allows you to install an aftermarket head unit while retaining the use of your factory steering wheel controls, ensuring seamless integration without compromising OEM functionality.
Designed for vehicles equipped with a 40-pin Quadlock connector, this adapter preserves key functions such as volume, track selection, and source switching—depending on the capabilities of your new stereo.
