Grand Voyager & Voyager [MK4] (2001-2007)
From 2001 until 2003, the Voyager was offered in the SWB model only. So technically the Grand Voyager only returned in 2003, so many people refer to this as the MK4 facelift.
Audio wise, the dash will only fit a single DIN radio with the aid of a fascia panel. The required wiring harness depends on whether the vehicle is amplified or not.
Non Amplified | Vehicles with the non-amplified system require the standard ISO lead.
Infinity or Boston Acoustics Amplified | Vehicles with the amplified system require the amp bypass lead. Amplified systems can be identified by the logo on the tweeter housing.
Amplified vehicles made in 2005 and before use a 12v signal to turn on the amplifier.
Amplified vehicles made from 2005 onward use a data bus protocol called J1850 to turn the car amplifier on. Removing the original radio disables this protocol, requiring an amp bypass lead or an amplifier turn on interface to retain sound. The amplifier is installed in the rear right quarter panel behind rear right speaker.
