This cable includes both the power connector located behind the radio and the speaker connections found at the factory amplifier. It allows you to install an aftermarket head unit and drive the vehicle’s speakers directly, bypassing the original factory amplifier for a cleaner audio signal and improved sound clarity.
To locate the factory amplifier, trace the data (computer-type) connector from the radio back to the amp. Depending on the vehicle, the amplifier may be positioned under the driver’s seat or beneath the centre console below the original head unit.
