The ATD CCA-18100 Timer Delay Relay Reverse Camera Filter is a specialized power delay solution designed for Volkswagen Group head units such as the RCD330, RCD360, RNS315, and RNS510, especially on MIB PQ platform vehicles without parking sensors (OPS).
When fitting an aftermarket reverse camera, many vehicles suffer from error codes or camera image loss due to the nature of how the camera is powered (typically by the reverse lamp). This delay module solves that by holding the camera power open for 10 seconds, ensuring the head unit properly detects and displays the reverse image — even if the reverse gear is quickly disengaged.
Without this adapter, the system may detect a fault or fail to re-display the camera feed on subsequent gear shifts.
