This adapter will be useful for those who install a new radio instead of the standard one on Toyota and Lexus cars with standard cameras working using the GVIF protocol. Such cameras have been commonly installed on cars since 2005 and stopped being used in most models in 2013. But in some car models they are installed at the factory to this day. As a rule, if a car has one rear view camera operating using GVIF technology, it is economically justifiable to replace such a camera with a new one, but with the loss of the reversing trajectory. If your car has 3 or 4 cameras, then it is more economical to purchase this adapter.
The product also comes with an adaptor when you have the green square plug and it also has a plug to be compatible with the S10 bespoke head units that Audio Tech Direct offers. If you are not using this with one of our units, you would need to cut that plug off and manually connect the battery, accessory & ground cables.
