Thanks to rigid construction our MDF rings guarantees best quality sound from the speaker. The stable MDF (medium-density fibreboard) speaker rings are ideal for installing high-quality speakers in the vehicle in a really professional manner. They are an excellent alternative to plastic adapters, which are often unstable and which never allow speakers to play to their full potential. Because mounting surfaces that are as solid as possible are one of the key reasons for clean sound, even at high levels.
Due to their high inherent rigidity, they reduce any unwanted movement (vibration, swinging, etc.) of the speaker basket right from the start and, thanks to their large contact surface, also ensure additional stabilization of the door panel on which they are mounted.
Our speaker rings are already impregnated to keep them safe from wet. Its impregnated on black colour which make it invisible through the grille. Before the whole installation process, you'll have to drill holes yourself in the speaker rings. Make sure you use right drill bit to do that. If there is an issue with water gathering in the car there will be necessary additional protection with silicone. The MDF rings thus offer a very good price/performance ratio between the expensive, vehicle-specific steel or aluminium rings and the level of plastic rings.
Before the whole installation, you need to drill holes in the speaker rings yourself. Make sure you use the correct twist drill for this. For a perfect sound in the vehicle, we recommend, in addition to the MDF rings, large-area insulation of the door and the door panel - e.g. with the high-quality insulation material available from Audio Tech Direct.
