The KICKER KEYLOC Smart DSP-Controlled Line-Out Converter is designed to integrate aftermarket audio equipment with factory stereo systems while automatically correcting unwanted frequency and phase characteristics. Its advanced DSP processing analyses the factory signal and creates a smooth, clean and uncoloured output for aftermarket amplifiers and processors.
KICKER's patent-pending KEY™ algorithm automatically detects factory crossovers, EQ, time delay and all-pass filters before level-matching the left and right channels. Once analysed, KEYLOC corrects these effects to provide a more consistent frequency response. A dedicated KEY button allows you to switch the EQ correction on and off to compare the processed and original signals.
KEYLOC also helps identify the frequency range available from individual factory speaker outputs. Its LED indicators show whether connected speaker wires carry low, mid or high-frequency information, making it easier to select suitable factory signal sources.
FIT 2+™ technology provides a wide input sensitivity range for compatibility with almost any factory or aftermarket system. KEYLOC accepts 125mV–10V low-level signals with a 60-ohm smart load or 1V–40V high-level signals, providing flexible integration without requiring extensive factory-system modifications.
