The Land Rover Defender Speaker & Subwoofer Upgrade is a complete audio enhancement package designed for pre-2020 Land Rover Defender models. It combines a pair of Morel Virtus Nano 4" (100 mm) 2-Way Component Speakers with a KICKER 11HS8 8" under-seat powered subwoofer to provide improved clarity, detail and deeper bass while making use of the vehicle's available factory speaker locations.
The Morel Virtus Nano components feature an ultra-shallow 17 mm mounting depth, allowing them to fit neatly into the original speaker locations. The tweeters are designed for the factory dashboard positions and feature Morel's signature Lotus grilles, while the KICKER powered subwoofer provides 150W RMS output, 25–120 Hz frequency response and flexible mounting options. In a Defender 110, it can be installed under the rear seats, while the Defender 90 commonly uses the area behind the front armrest.
This package is designed as a practical upgrade without interference with the original vehicle layout. The kit includes the required subwoofer wiring and remote bass control, with integrated filtering for both the speakers and subwoofer. Please note that this kit is not designed for newer-shape Defenders from 2020 onwards.
