This custom fit head unit is designed to be an after-market replacement head unit for the original base level fitted head unit. The unit is supplied with a matching audio plug fitting from what should be stock entry level standard. Please read the fitment notes (if any) assigned to this product as we try to advise as many points on variant information and possibilities as we can.
COMPATIBLE WITH THE FOLLOWING MODELS:
- Mercedes Benz S-Class [W220] (1998-2005)
- Mercedes Benz CLS-Class [W215] (1998-2005)
HEAD UNIT PANEL SIZE: Top Width 248mm x Height 122mm X Bottom Width 242mm | PANEL SIZE WITH RE-FITTING PANEL: 250mm x 230mm x 228mm
FITMENT NOTES:
1. Models with factory fitted AUDIO 10 or AUDIO 30 will be on ISO. European vehicles supplied with factory single source head units will only have a battery permanent power source to it. As this is now being swapped out for an after-market radio (which are all dual source), you may find your new stereo may not power up, and this is no fault of the wiring harness purchased. These vehicles tend not to have an ignition switched live feed into the factory audio harness. In these cases it is necessary to manually connect a spurred live feed from fuse box to feed switched power so the new stereo turns on and off with the key. The wire in particular on the new wiring harness will be the red wire labelled ACC. Red wire has to be connected to a separate ignition feed in the vehicle to make aftermarket head unit to power up.
2. Models with factory fitted BOSCH COMAND 2.0 or COMAND 2.5 then your vehicle will be on single source ISO and it will also have D2B fibre optics. You will need to connect an +12v accessory source into the head unit (as mentioned above with the AUDIO 10 and AUDIO 30). With the D2B amplified sound system, you will have two options:
A) RETAIN: You can retain the D2B amplifier by purchasing our part number ARC-20006 amplifier retention interface adaptor.
B) BYPASS: Bypass the amplifier by purchasing our amplifier bypass extension cable: part number ABC-20016
3. Models with NTG1 COMAND APS will be on full MOST fibre optics with AGW Audio Gateway. You may have the quadlock connection or the 4 pin plug in the MOST adaptor, so options here are:
A) 4 pin plug type: Purchase our ARC-20001 and our ABC-20016 adaptor cable.
B) Quadlock plug type: You just need to purchase ARC-20001.
4. You cannot retain the factory CD changer when swapping the stock radio out for an after-market one.
5. If you have stock factory fitted GPS antenna, rear view camera, AUX/USB ports or DAB antenna, then you will require a retention cable (all sold separately). Please ask us so we can advise what you require.

PBA A85PRO-82S 7" Android Auto 12
I don't usually take the time to leave reviews, however this product impressed me beyond what I was expecting. Perfect fit for the c215 dash. it has the look and feel of the factory unit with all the features of a new processor. I already had an android head unit in this car and it was terrible. bad sound quality, noisy when using the pre outs for amplifiers, quirky app performance, bluetooth connection problems, terrible radio reception etc. this new unit worked perfectly right out of the box, truly plug and play. nice and quiet through the pre outs, very nice eq with adjustable q, x overs for f/r and sub, sub gain. steering wheel controls work with no added box, just plug in the canbus. i used my existing front and rear cameras, and added the dvr. all plug and play, worked without any fuss. good radio reception too. gps built in works great. very pleased with this unit so far. its not the cheapest but its well worth it if you are looking for something that has good sound quality and a high quality fit and finish. no installation instructions provided and the user manual is very basic but that is a minor detail to me. delivery was quick. i would buy from this company again.
