The first generation of the BMW 1 Series consists of the BMW E81 (3-door hatchback), BMW E82 (coupe), BMW E87 (5-door hatchback) and BMW E88 (convertible) compact cars. 

There was a few radio systems on these. The air conditioning panel plays a part in getting the right products. 

The BMW 1 series had a facelift to the dashboard in 2007, this facelift allowed for the possibility of fitting double DIN aftermarket head units.
