The third generation is codenamed G01 and was unveiled in June 2017. The vehicle was given a facelift in 2021.

The iX3 [G08] launched in 2020 and is also part of this group.

The vehicle used Evo ID5/D6 from 2017 to 2021. Then on the facelift was given the MGU system on the 12.3" infotainment screen.
