In 2018, Ford unveiled the European and Asian-market versions of the fourth-generation Focus, to mark the brand's 20th anniversary. As in the previous generation, the model is available with sedan, hatchback and estate body styles.

The Focus Mk4 pre-facelift was fitted with the Sync 2.5 or Sync 3 infotainment system. Most facelifts are also but some have the Sync 4 widescreen system fitted as standard.
