The third-generation Transit received a facelift to the body, introduced in July 2006, including new front and rear lights, a new front end and a new interior featuring the gearstick on the dashboard and Ford's new corporate radio design.

Vehicles can be based on a resistive or CAN protocol. The easiest way to confirm is to remove the factory radio and check if the harness has a 12v ignition feed included. Almost all of the Mk7 were not on the CAN system.
