The first-generation Hyundai i20 (Mk1) was launched in early 2009 for European markets (with a three-door variant arriving in April 2009) and remained in production until mid-2012, when it was replaced by the facelifted model. During its run, the i20 was praised for offering roomy interior packaging, strong standard equipment for the segment (including steering-wheel audio controls, Bluetooth, electric windows, and air conditioning).
The vehicle was fitted with the Hyundai Mobis base radio and it was in black or silver depending on the dash colour.
