The Kia Picanto Mk1 was introduced in 2004 as Kia’s entry into the city car segment, offering compact dimensions, low running costs, and surprising practicality for its size. The model received a facelift in 2007, which brought updated front and rear styling, interior improvements, and slight mechanical refinements. Production of the Mk1 Picanto continued until 2011, when it was replaced by the more modern and spacious Mk2.

The factory wiring uses a Kia specific plug.
