Kia Rio [MK1] (2001-2005)
The first-generation Kia Rio launched in the UK in 2001, positioned as a budget-friendly small car with surprising space and practicality. A minor facelift in 2003 updated the front and rear styling, refreshed the interior, and slightly improved refinement. The Mk1 Rio remained on sale until 2005, when it was replaced by the more refined and European-focused Mk2.
The factory wiring uses a Kia specific plug. The dash will only fit a single DIN radio. Installation of an aftermarket radio uses the brackets from the factory radio.
