The second-generation Kia Rio launched in the UK in 2005, marking a major step forward in design, refinement, and quality over its predecessor. Sharing its underpinnings with the Hyundai Getz, the Mk2 was offered as a five-door hatchback or four-door saloon. It received a facelift in 2009 and production ended in 2011, making way for the sportier, more upmarket Mk3 Rio.
