The third-generation Lexus GS (S190) arrived in the UK in 2005, bringing a bold new look with Lexus’s L-finesse design language and a strong push toward tech and hybrid innovation. UK models included the GS 300 (3.0L V6), GS 430 (later GS 460), and the GS 450h, the world’s first rear-wheel-drive hybrid luxury saloon. A facelift in 2007 (for 2008 MY) added refreshed bumpers, lights, and interior tweaks. Production ended in 2011, replaced by the fourth-gen GS.
The vehicle was fitted with the MFD GEN5 Nav Radio System. Most trims included an 8-speaker Pioneer system, while higher trims (SE-L, Sport) came with a 14-speaker Mark Levinson Premium Surround Sound system, praised for concert-like quality.
