The Mazda CX-5 Mk1 was launched in 2012 as Mazda’s first vehicle to fully embrace its new Skyactiv technology—a suite of lightweight engineering, efficient engines, and sharp design language (Kodo: Soul of Motion). The vehicle had a facelift in 2015.

Pre-facelift models were fitted with the Mazda Navigation radio. Facelift models had the MZD Connect AIO radio.
