The Mercedes-Benz A-Class W176 was produced from 2012 to 2018, marking a major shift from a compact MPV to a more conventional hatchback design. It was launched in September 2012 with a sportier, more dynamic appearance aimed at younger buyers. A facelift arrived in 2015, bringing subtle exterior tweaks such as redesigned bumpers and lights, as well as updated infotainment systems and improved efficiency across the engine range. Production of the W176 ended in 2018, when it was succeeded by the W177 generation.
The vehicle was fitted with the NTG4.5 system pre-facelift and the facelift models were on the NTG5.0 system. Models with amplified sound systems will be connected with MOST fibre optics into the Mercedes quadlock.
