The Mercedes-Benz GL-Class X164 is the first generation of the GL-Class, produced from 2006 to 2012. Built on the same platform as the M-Class (W164), the X164 was Mercedes’ answer to the growing demand for a full-size, seven-seat luxury SUV market.

The vehicle is usually fitted with the Audio 20 NTG2 or the Comand APS NTG2.5 head unit. Some models would have the BOSE sound system, which would be on MOST fibre optics.
