The second generation Mercedes-Benz GLA (H247), introduced in late 2019 as a 2020 model, is the second generation of the GLA-Class and represents a significant evolution over its predecessor. Built on the updated MFA2 platform, it features a more upright SUV-like stance, offering improved interior space—particularly in headroom and rear legroom—while maintaining compact exterior dimensions. A mid-cycle facelift was unveiled in 2023.

The vehicle was fitted with the Mercedes's MBUX NTG6.0 infotainment system initially. Then when the vehicle was facelifted, it was moved over to the Mercedes's MBUX 2G NTG7.0 infotainment system.
