The second generation SEAT Alhambra went on sale in October 2010. It is longer and wider than the first generation. Like the Sharan access to the middle row of seats is via sliding doors.

In September 2015 the UK diesel models of the Alhambra were revised to meet the Euro 6 standards. At this point, models that were on PQ Quadlock connection head units were ended and the new MQB 52way Quadlock all-in-one head units were introduced.

In March 2020, SEAT announced production of the Alhambra would end that month and the vehicle was discontinued.
