The third generation of the León is based on the Volkswagen Group's latest MQB platform, which is shared with the seventh generation Volkswagen Golf. In January 2017, the León received a subtle facelift which included a larger eight-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Apple CarPlay, Android Auto and MirrorLink.
