The seventh-generation Hilux (designated the AN10/AN20/AN30) was the first to not be produced in Japan. The model is also considerably larger than the previous generation Hilux. The vehicle had facelifts in 2008 and 2011 but ran all the way until 2015.

The vehicle was fitted with the 200mm Toyota basic or navigation system until 2011. From the 2011 facelift it was fitted with Touch radio system.
