The Audi A8 (Typ 4D) was presented in February 1994 and debuted at the 1994 Geneva Auto Show in March, with full-scale factory production commencing in June 1994

The stock head unit was the DELTA head unit. The factory wiring uses an ISO plug. The dash will only fit a single DIN radio.

Some vehicles are fitted with a factory BOSE system (the speaker grills will have a BOSE logo on them).
