The BMW Z3 is a range of two-seater sports cars which was produced from 1995 to 2002. The body styles of the range are:

• 2-door roadster (E36/7 model code)
• 2-door coupé (E36/8 model code)

These vehicles used either a BMW round pin or quadlock connector. As the factory switched between the 2 plugs at various stages, the easiest way to confirm which is to remove the factory radio.

The dash will only fit a single DIN radio. No fascia is required to fit an aftermarket radio. Vehicles with the round pin plug use and ISO antenna adaptor, while vehicles with a quadlock plug require a Fakra lead.
