Sales of the second generation model started with the 2000 model year and production ended with the 2005 model year. The 2000-2001 model actually used the same parts as the MK1. The facelift 2002-2005 model had different parts.

You can only fit a single DIN in this model.

The audio system was either standard or Boston amplified. The Boston amplified is turned on with a +12v switch usually on this model.
