Audio Tech Direct now offers a range of cable adaptors to allow an after-market camera to be connected to the OEM factory radio. These are a great way of adding some much needed parking assistance to your factory radio. Please read the listing description carefully as coding and variants with the factory radio may apply.
Cars with original sync 2.5 / Sync3 system (version 3.0 / 3.2 / 3.3) with 7"/8" monitor and new 32-pin Ford connector
This is a plug-and-play "T" Harness that allows you to easily add a back-up camera (when your vehicle did not come with a OEM backup camera) to select OEM systems while retaining factory settings. Ditch the wires and discover the simplicity of true plug-and-play. Disconnect the factory connector and connect our T-Harness inline.
No special coding is needed as the interface integrates with the LVDS cable behind the vehicle head unit. The rear camera will activate as soon as reverse gear is engaged. The front camera will only activate if reverse gear is selected and then immediately afterwards drive forward gear is selected. The interface has a feature to allow manual activation of the front camera, this is done by pressing and holding the VOICE button on the steering wheel, this feature also allows the front camera input to be used as a general video input for DVD and other video devices.

VEHICLE COMPATIBILITY LIST
For models with Ford SYNC 2.5 / 3 with 32 pin new plug type only. SYNC 2.5 can usually be identified by the "Four icons" at the bottom of the touch screen (See images). Another way to identify is via accessing the vehicles settings menu. Look up "About SYNC" under the "Settings Menu" and it should read SYNC (Also pictured).
