This aftermarket 3.5mm AUX audio adapter cable is designed for Mercedes-Benz vehicles equipped with NTG 4.5 or NTG 5.0 infotainment systems, allowing you to play music from your device directly through your vehicle’s factory stereo. Simply connect your iPod, iPhone, smartphone, MP3 player, or any other device with a 3.5mm headphone jack to the car’s infotainment system using this cable. Please note that this cable only transmits audio; it does not support device control through the car’s interface or steering wheel, and track or album information will not be displayed on the screen. It also does not support charging or data transfer. This is a simple, effective solution for enjoying your personal music library while on the road.
Use this cable to connect any MP3 player (excluding the iPod) to the unit Music Interface (MMI). Simply plug it with the headphones jack on your player and enjoy your music in full stereo sound. This cable transmits audio signals only, no content is displayed on the Multi-Media Interface (MMI) screen. This cable will ONLY fit Mercedes Benz vehicles equipped with AMI.
Note: You have to activate the AUX mode in the AMI system in order to use this product. You can only change songs from the smartphone, no control over music from the AMI system. The playlist will not be displayed on the screen, control the device and charge the device.
