Audio Tech Direct now offers a range of cable adaptors to allow an after-market camera to be connected to the OEM factory radio. These are a great way of adding some much needed parking assistance to your factory radio. Please read the listing description carefully as coding and variants with the factory radio may apply.
The product is an adapter harness for adding a reverse camera video input in a variety of different Ford models with Ford SYNC 1 Systems with a 4.2″ colour screen (for full model list please view Product applications). This product connects inline at the back of the original head unit, providing a RCA video input. Note: the camera input feature may need to be activated by a Ford dealership. For use with NTSC cameras only.
Reverse Camera input adaptor for Ford SYNC 1 systems with a 4.2" colour screen that enables connection of an aftermarket NTSC camera to the vehicles OEM screen. This is not suitable for the following non-colour or monochrome SYNC 1 systems or FORD NAV MFD LOW screens. To check, remove the screen from the vehicle, if the sticker on the underside says FORD NAV MFD LOW then please use CAO-27239 to add a camera.
Please Note: Vehicle Coding required, we recommend this is carried out by a professional. The Vehicle will need programming to enable the rear view camera function.
