If your vehicle comes with a factory fitted camera and you wish to retain it to be used with an aftermarket head unit, then this adaptor is the solution. You keep the factory fitted camera (no need to splice factory video cable wire) and simply use this adaptor to make connection with an aftermarket head unit which comes with RCA camera input.
Rear view camera adapters are required to maintain the OEM rear view camera. These allow the connection of a factory pre-equipped camera to an aftermarket device with camera input.
Only for VW original rear view camera with steering angle lines; Retains the VW OEM rear view camera when upgraded to an aftermarket radio. For models with high-line factory camera only (camera with dynamic guidelines). We offer other solutions for the low-line factory camera.
