If your vehicle comes with a factory fitted camera and you wish to retain it to be used with an aftermarket head unit, then this adaptor is the solution. You keep the factory fitted camera (no need to splice factory video cable wire) and simply use this adaptor to make connection with an aftermarket head unit which comes with RCA camera input.
Rear view camera adapters are required to maintain the OEM rear view camera. These allow the connection of a factory pre-equipped camera to an aftermarket device with camera input. The CRC-27076 is a reversing camera retention lead specially designed for use on various Volkswagen and Skoda vehicles with the 26 pin camera plug. This allows users to retain the use of the factory installed camera system when installing an aftermarket head unit to their vehicle.
For models with low-line factory camera only (camera without dynamic guidelines). We offer other solutions for the high-line factory camera.
Product Specifications:
- Retains the factory reversing camera when fitting an aftermarket head unit
- Factory head units: RNS510/RNS315/RCD510/COLUMBUS (26 pin plug only)
- For models without the dynamic lines hi-line camera
- Low-line factory fitted cameras only
- Colour of the reverse trigger wire may vary depending on availability of build
Connections to be made:
- Connect the Black wire to chassis / ground
- Connect the Yellow wire to battery power
- Connect the Red wire to reverse trigger +12v power (switched) NOTE: Sometimes this cable is blue or brown on the product
- Connect the Yellow RCA jack to the aftermarket radios backup camera input jack
