The Honda CR-V Mk1, Honda’s first entry into the compact SUV segment, debuted in 1995 in Japan and launched globally in 1997. In 1999, the model received a facelift. Production of the first-generation CR-V continued until 2001, when it was succeeded by the second-generation model.
