Many modern vehicles are equipped with manufacturer‑specific head units designed to match the dashboard’s original appearance. ACV installation kits provide all the essential components required to replace an OEM head unit with an aftermarket system.

Depending on the vehicle’s specification, the kit may include the necessary adapters and interfaces to ensure correct operation of the new unit and to retain supported vehicle functions.

This ACV installation kit is to provide you with the basic installation products required to complete a new radio installation into your vehicle. 

Note: Before installation, please review the compatibility notes for each component.

Note: OEM Function Awareness – Some vehicle functions or settings may not be supported by the retrofit head unit. Check the original OEM head unit, vehicle settings, and available functions before installation.

Final System Check – Confirm vehicle functionality, settings access, and steering wheel control operation before completing the installation.

• Output Load Capacity: 250 mA max.
• Current requirement greater than 250 mA:

Rear‑View Camera Integration

• Activate and configure the reversing camera input in the retrofit device menu.
• i-Dapter Connections:
• Purple/White: +12V Reversing Signal
• RCA (M) Ochre: Reversing Camera Input to Retrofit Device
• Visualization:
• OPS → Retrofit device reversing camera input
• Climatronic → Retrofit device reversing camera input
• If the camera image or i-dapter visualization does not appear:
• Add an additional ground connection to the outer conductor of the RCA cable at both the camera and device connection.
• Vehicles with steering wheel remote control:
• Press and hold the steering wheel Track Forward button to access i-dapter settings.
• Vehicles without steering wheel remote control:

Depending on vehicle equipment, software version, and the retrofit head unit, some functions may not be available.

OEM Head Unit Compatibility Notes

This kit is suitable for:

• Vehicles with MIB-PQ platform require antenna voltage check before installation.
• Vehicles with +12V OEM antenna supply voltage:
• Standard antenna adapter supported.
• Vehicles with 8.5V OEM antenna supply voltage:
• Antenna adapter Fakra (M) (Dual) → DIN (M) 8.5V – Item: 1524-29.
• Vehicles with or without OEM sound system:
• VW Beetle with Composition Media Dynaudio OEM sound system supported
• VW Beetle with Fender OEM sound system not supported
• Vehicles with E-Call:
• E-Call maintenance adapter MAN/Seat/Skoda/VW 52-pin Quadlock – Item: 1424-28.
• Skoda vehicles require OEM radio fascia:

Important Installation Notes

1. Compare the adapter connectors with those in your vehicle to ensure correct visual and technical compatibility.
2. Check whether one of the listed OEM factory radios was originally installed in the vehicle.

7. Reimported vehicles or vehicles with different software versions may show reduced compatibility.
