Many modern vehicles are equipped with manufacturer‑specific head units designed to match the dashboard’s original appearance. ACV installation kits provide all the essential components required to replace an OEM head unit with an aftermarket system.

Depending on the vehicle’s specification, the kit may include the necessary adapters and interfaces to ensure correct operation of the new unit and to retain supported vehicle functions.

This ACV installation kit is to provide you with the basic installation products required to complete a new radio installation into your vehicle. 

Note: Before installation, please review the compatibility notes for each component.

• SWC Connector Kits – Supplies all necessary analogue steering wheel control signals for operating a retrofit head unit.

Note: OEM Function Awareness – Some vehicle functions or settings may not be supported by the retrofit head unit. Check the original OEM head unit, vehicle settings, and available functions before installation.

Final System Check – Confirm vehicle functionality, settings access, and steering wheel control operation before completing the installation.

Supported / Not Supported Functions

Depending on vehicle equipment, software version, and the retrofit head unit, some functions may not be available.
May Be Limited or Not Supported.

- Vehicles with Audio 10 OEM unit → Only Volume Up/Down supported
- Vehicles with Audio 30 Garmin OEM unit → OEM reversing camera not adaptable
- Vehicles with Audio 40 Pioneer OEM unit → Remove Pioneer wiring harness
- Vehicles with eCall → eCall maintenance Mercedes Sprinter/V-Class > Article: 1424-27-0
- Trailer Assist, eCall, or other driver assistance systems may not be available
- Increased noise or power-on/power-off noise may occur depending on OEM system and retrofit radio

OEM Head Unit Compatibility Notes

This kit is suitable for:

• Audio 10 / Audio 15 / Audio 30 / Audio 40 OEM devices

Important Installation Notes

1. Check all operating functions and vehicle settings of the OEM device before installation
2. Disconnect the OEM device with power off
3. Check all interface connections for correctness and continuity with power off
4. Connect in sequence: configure interface offline → check radio cables → connect radio → connect all other connections → live connection last → software configuration → function test of SWC, camera, hands-free, antenna phantom power
5. Changes to the interface and radio connection cable must be done with power off
6. In case of malfunction: revert to OEM device → operate OEM device → put CAN bus in standby mode → check interface configuration → reconnect as above
7. All wiring changes, alternative connections, or modifications must be performed exclusively by trained specialists
8. Modifications to pre-assembled wiring harnesses may void the product warranty
